About Downtown Garage & Auto Body

Established in April 1954 in downtown Alexandria, VA, thus the name Downtown Garage, we are a full service automotive repair shop that services any make or model of domestic or foreign vehicle, no matter how big or small. We moved to our current location at 4913 Massaponax Church Road in 1988.

Our technicians and office staff have over 450 years of combined experience repairing vehicles and dealing with collision repair.

We are a full service auto repair body shop with a focus on collision repair and automotive refinishing. We are ASE, I-car and Gold Class certified. With our 40,000 square foot facility we handle all sizes of repair from a minor dent, to a major frame repair or frame replacement.

We also provide a full service mechanical shop and Virginia State Inspection station. Our mechanics can handle all jobs from an oil change to an engine or transmission replacement.

We also provide onsite and mobile automotive glass repair and replacement.
